CCC slog Lenton Oilers Cricket Club
Venskabskampen mellem Copenhagen Cricket Club (CCC) og Engelske Lenton Oilers Cricket Club endte med en sejr til hjemmeholdet med 85 runs.

Stifter af Copenhagen Cricket Club, Sheikh Saleem, har de sidste par måneder arbejdet med at få venskabskampen på plads. Kontakten er opstået, da gæsternes anfører William Murrills flytter til Danmark næste år med sin forlovede. I den forbindelse har han ytret ønske om at spille for klubben. Klubben ønsker William Murrills hjertelig velkommen Kampen blev spillet på klubbens nyanlagte bane i Tingbjerg. Anlægget blev indviet sidste år af blandt andre kulturborgmester Carl Christian Ebbesen, socialborgmester Jesper Christensen og den amerikanske ambassadør i Danmark, Rufus Gifford.
Man of the match blev for Lenton Oilers CC blev Mr. Mush og for Copenhagen Cricket Club var det Mr. Prateek Kar. Efter kampen holdt klubberne en hyggelig grillfest på klubbens anlæg

Copenhagen Cricket Club beat Lenton Oilers Cricket Club by 85 runs.

The toss was won by Copenhagen CC and they chose to bat. The opening bowlers for Lenton Oilers CC started well by taking couple of early wickets each. There was a steady partnership of 48 runs between Mr. Briaan and Mr. Pradip before Mr. Briaan was run out by some superb fielding. Mr. Pradip and Mr. Umar Nawaz carried the team before Mr. Pradip tried to hook the bowlling and was caught in the deep. Mr. Umar Nawaz who was the highest scorer for Copenhagen CC with 44 runs was caught out in the deep on the bowling of Mr. Nick. In the last 3 overs Copenhagen CC scored 38 runs bulk of which was scored by Mr. Momin. This last push helped Copenhagen CC post a mammoth 188 on board in 20 overs.

The openers for Lenton Oilers CC both were in the dug out in the opening overs as Mr. Prateek Kar and Mr. Hamza created havoc as they were left reeling 10 for 2 in 5 overs. Mr. Mush and Mr. Knox Sr. Tried to build a partnership but were bamboozled by the wily leg spinner Mr. Majid. Whatmore for Lenton Oilers CC tried to push the score to a respectable total by hitting the ball out of the ground on a couple of occasions but Mr. Majid’s spun the web around him and bowled him out. After Whatmore Lenton Oilers CC fell like a pack of cards and were bowled out for a meagre score of 104. The man of the match was awarded to both teams and for Lenton Oilers CC the honours went to Mr. Mush while the Mr. Prateek Kar got the award for Copenhagen CC for his all round performance.
